Our strategy for treatment of hormone imbalances includes:

1. Education
Educational materials of books that cover a variety of health topics including natural compounded hormones, cholesterol and medical conditions are available for purchase. These educational materials are 100% returnable for full refund (if product is in good condition) to encourage self-education. Periodically, we have in-house seminars. Please check our Calendar.

2. Testing Hormones (Sex, Adrenal, & Thyroid)
A Hormone Test Kit is a take-home kit that measures hormones using blood spot & saliva collection, and may be purchased at the pharmacy without a prescription. (cost $325)

Hormones tested are Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEAs, x4 Cortisol, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody (TPO), Free Triiodothyronine (fT3), & Free Throxine (fT4).

The patient completes the test with 4 collections on a typical day. After collection, ship the specimen via UPS in a pre-paid envelope to the lab and the results are e-mailed to Oakdell Wellness Center in about 10-12 working days.

3. Health Assessment
Schedule this appointment before your consultation to establish baseline measurements (cost $85):
- Weight & Height.
- Cholesterol screening - Total Cholesterol, LDL, HDL, Triglycerides, Ratio & Glucose.
- Body Composition includes percent body fat.

4. Personal Consultation
After test results are received, a one-hour extended Personal Consultation with a Pharmacist (who is experienced and specially trained in natural compounded hormones) will thoroughly explain your lab results and review your medical history. Treatment options will be discussed. (cost $125)

5. Custom Compounding
We will collaborate with your physician for a prescription to address your specific needs and once approved, the prescription is then Custom Compounded in our lab using natural hormones; that is, hormones that are identical in chemical structure to your own. (cost varies, based on you needs)

6. Vitamin Supplements may be recommended. (cost varies)

7. Dietary recommendations may also be recommended. (cost varies)

8. Follow-up Care - For the first 6 months of treatment, minor adjustments may be made to your prescription (with your physicians approval) at no charge.

a) Complete a Monthly Self Evaluation Form (available online) to monitor your progress. Send via email, fax, or USPS. (free online) Find on top of page in blue under Forms.

b) We may recommend re-testing of certain labs.
